Sustainable Steel Production: DNA's Production Process and Corporate Identity

In today's sustainability-oriented world, the importance of recycling in industrial production processes is more important than ever. As DNA PC Strand, we aim for the highest quality in steel production by putting this understanding at the centre of our business and create a sustainable production process by recycling our raw materials. In this article, we will discuss DNA's steel production process, the journey of the raw material from recycling to the final product and how our corporate identity is integrated into this process.

1. From Recycling to Production: The Journey of Raw Material

DNA procures the raw materials used in its production from the scrap processing facilities within the holding. These scraps are first melted in arc furnaces to make them reusable. This process, which is carried out in arc furnaces, involves the melting and purification of metal at high temperatures. In this way, waste metals are brought back into the production chain and we contribute to our zero waste policy.

2. Rolling Mill Process: Shaping and Strength Increasing

The melted metal is transformed into final products in various forms through casting and rolling processes. The rolling mill plays a key role in this process. Here, the metal is given the desired shape while at the same time its strength properties are increased. The rolling process is carried out meticulously to maximise the durability and performance of steel products.

3. Concrete Beam and Concrete Wire Production

As DNA PC Strand, the focal point of our production is concrete bundle and concrete wire. These products are used in a wide range of applications in the construction industry, from bridge beams to electric poles. In the production process, compliance with DNA's high standards is one of the most important criteria. Our concrete bundles provide high strength and durability, while our concrete wires offer a safe performance in critical applications such as energy distribution.

4. Sustainable and Environmentally Friendly Production

In steel production, we not only offer quality products, but also develop environmentally friendly processes. We strive to minimise environmental impact at every stage of our production. For example, thanks to our sustainable raw material supply used in surface cleaning processes, we ensure 100% acid regeneration with no waste. Ferrous sulphate (FeSO4) obtained from this process is used as raw material in agriculture, cement and chemical industries, contributing to environmental sustainability.

5. Our Corporate Identity and Future Outlook

At DNA PC Strand, we aim to be not only a manufacturer, but also a pioneer of innovation in the industry. In our research and development centre, we are constantly improving production processes and working on new technologies. We maintain the quality control processes of our products at the highest standards by performing microstructure analyses with advanced technology devices such as ZEISS Automatic Table Optical Microscope.

Sustainable production, innovation and high quality are the cornerstones of DNA's corporate identity. These values will be at the centre of our production processes in the future as in the past and will continue to keep us in the leading position in the sector.
